A weekend at the Grand Canyon was planned with Zac's side of the family for Labor Day weekend. Seeing that I have actually never been (I am a native of Arizona and NEVER been to the Grand Canyon). Let me correct myself, when I was younger my family would spend a couple weeks of the summer at Lake Powell so we would see part of the canyon.
Zac took Friday off from work so that we could pack our car and be on the road north before traffic got bad. Nothing beats being on the road, heading north to cooler weather.

As we approached Flagstaff we were welcomed with green fields, pines and sunflowers blooming everywhere. It was beautiful.

We got into Flagstaff in time for a late lunch at Beaver Creek Brewery in Old Downtown. It was yummy! Rose enjoyed french fries with ketchup, I had a Chicken Salad Croissant Sandwich and Zac had a Turkey Sandwich with soup, he also enjoyed some beer sampling.
After lunch we were on our way again for the final stretch north towards the Grand Canyon which would only take us another hour. That drive was beautiful as well, it was raining as we arrived at the hotel and we were able to get out our sweatshirts. Perfect!
The weekend was really nice. We had a few mishaps with Rose along the way but nothing that was too terrible. Ok, maybe a couple.
The Grand Canyon.
My only words as I walked up to this unbelievably beautiful sight was "this is breathtaking". God is a brilliant artist and His creations leave me speechless.
Rose was having more fun with her sun visor. Peek-a-boo!
A family photo.
I got distracted and couldn't help but take a few of my cute little girl.

All in all it was a really nice two days. We packed our car Sunday morning and headed back home arriving in time for naps for Rose, Zac and I.
We spent Sunday night at my brother Eddie's home where we enjoyed swimming and pizza. Then again, enjoyed the family at our house on Labor Day with more swimming and BBQing.
With holidays, the weeks are always thrown off a day, so its already WEDNESDAY!!!
Still feeling tired with Baby #2... but feeling myself and feeling like I may be showing a little more as well (eeks!). I am 13 weeks and 5 days today. The baby is approaching the size of a lemon. I may be crazy but I think I am already feeling the baby? Maybe? Very slightly but nonetheless feeling some fluttering. Now the question is "boy or girl"? I just wonder... whelp I will just have to wait another 26 weeks to find that out.
Speaking of baby, I think Rose might be sensing another little one is on the way. She has been very needy and staying close to mom these days with hugs, kisses, whining for me to hold her, whining for me to read to her and etc. You little sweet heart. I don't mind holding you a little more.... cause I sure do love you.
Have a good rest of the week. Football has returned and my husband is suuuuper excited and giddy about the whole thing. I have to admit, I get excited too - it means fall is near. I am eying my trunk of fall decorations already.... get ready, I will be opening you up soon!!!
