Last week Zac and I attended The Arizona Right to Life Gala with keynote speaker:
Rick Santorum
What a great night! We sat with a great table and saw a lot of familiar faces at neighboring tables. I always love going to events like this, it really relights that fire of hope that there are people out there fighting for one of the many things our faith defends, most importantly LIFE!
The night began with us unexpectedly meeting and getting a picture with Rick Santorum. I thank my my brother TTom and sister in law Maura for pushing me to get up there despite my nervousness! Eeeks!!! So nervous I think I must have forgotten how to smile. Doh! He was so nice!
His speech was awesome and I thought he did a wonderful job! A very successful night!
Poof! Two years has passed since Zac last played in a soccer league. His last season ended just before Rose was born. Here we are two years later loading our car Sunday afternoons with not only folding chairs and snacks, but now we are loading our Rose and hauling her to the games. How life has changed! She LOVED it. She made a few friends and might have not even noticed that her dad was out on the field running like a mad man back and forth, nonetheless she had a great time! Here is to a new season for dad!
On the way home from dad's soccer game she got a hold of my phone. Behold, I found about two dozen images of this:
Tuesday I had a surprise ultrasound. Zac was home with Rose.
I hadn't seen our baby since 8 weeks (see below) then:
So it was so wonderful to see him/her. Moving around, moving his/her arms, legs, feet and his/her twittering heart. They sent me home with pictures and a DVD, so I was able to show Zac how our baby has grown! Rose didn't know what she was watching, haha. Pictured here at 15 weeks 4 days See below (now):
She said the baby is 4 oz and the heart rate was 155. Thank you, Jesus for a healthy baby! Prayers for a continued healthy pregnancy and baby!
Yay, Baby Wilk #2
I am ready to welcome the end of summer and the first day of FALL Saturday (supposedly its the day that marks the end of summer - you can learn a lot from your local weather girl)!!! I have a few fall things out - I was able to find a couple of really cool and cheap buys! I will show pictures in my next post. My chest is still sealed shut from last year. Its always a surprise when I open my seasonal chest because each year I forget what I have and some of it seems new all over again. Since being married I have collected some really neat things that I know will return each year. You slowly rummage through the junk that's been purchased in the past and give it to Goodwill. Through the rummage the special items start to stand out - that you love and always will.
I stumbled across a Halloween costume for Rose!!! I wasn't even looking! It was super inexpensive, in her size and just adorable. I bought it, tried it on her and it is PERFECT! I wont divulge in her costume till Halloween because Halloween is still a whole month away, ha-ha. Anyway, I am so excited.
Well, I will be 16 weeks tomorrow. Yay! Another week down. I am ready to get out of my shorts and into some jeans, with this baby attempting to make more of an appearance these days - bumpity bump. I am feeling well and am feeling like I have more energy than Ive had in the weeks prior. Continuing to crave yummy cold sandwiches, salads, fruit, cereal....anything cool I guess. Anything hot or spicy.... not feeling it.
Until next time! Enjoy the welcoming of FALL...
-Clara
