Like Mommy and Look Daddy

When I was little I always asked if I could help my mom make their bed.

Many years later, now a mom myself I now have a little girl who wanders into our bedroom asking if she can help make the bed with me.

When Daddy mows the lawn, he has a stalker.

In the meantime.

We are recouping from Gus's wedding that took place on November 9th, 2013.
The entire family was in attendance and it was such a great week. The excitement leading up to the wedding was huge, and when the last family member packed their bags and headed home (Denver and Tennessee) my heart was broken that it all was ending.

Cant wait to see the pictures! Because as usual, I didn't take any and my photo stream pictures from my phone are not showing up. Of course.

In other news...

A serious eater. Actually, not much of an eater either.

Sisterly bliss. For the moment. Seconds later Rose starts hitting Alison over the head with a toy.

Cheeks that I love.

Sunday dinners at Papa and Grammys.

Daddy Diaper Duty.

First batch of Chocolate Chip Cookies by Rose.

Closest thing to a "girls" group shot.

Halloween was a hit. Thanksgiving is going to be awesome (cant wait for the food!) and Christmas? Rose is very excited to welcome baby Jesus and presents (in that order I hope).

Alison: 8 1/2 months old and maybe 19 lbs? Two teeth, the amount of hair Rose had at 1.5 years old, army crawling - though I did catch her attempting a legitimate baby crawl in the kitchen this evening. Shimming across furniture and is commonly seen being beaten up by her sister. I keep warning Rose "Alison is going to be able to hit back soon so I would watch it if I were you". As usual our Alison is pure sweetness and we are madly in love with her.

Rose: 2 years and 10 months. Favorite meal is a cheese crisp. Asks for "wacker" (water) with a "splash of juice". Best friend is still TT, though she has been corrected by TT himself in a very serious tone lately "I not TT, I Constantine" while his hands rest on his hips. Surprisingly, on Sunday Rose greeted him by saying his full name... hmm, I am impressed Rose. Rose says that Alison has a best friend too and his name is "Jophus". Rose spends her timeouts sitting on a rocking chair in her bedroom for a 5 minute duration (I think I should make it longer sometimes!!). The usual crime? Bullying Alison. Ugh. Favorite show? Monkey George (Curious George). She loves that monkey to death.

We have been suffering from colds this past week. I would love to get it all over with.

Thanksgiving is one week away! Which means Daddy will have most of the week off, the Wilk side will have family and friends fly in from places like Boston, Ohio and Idaho and we get to sit around with drinks in our hands, food on our plates and plenty of laughter in our full bellys.

Time to feel thankful.

Clara
