....with our new girl.
Meanwhile, two months have passed since my last post and I need to get everyone (or no one) up to speed on all that I have missed while being absent in my blogging. Talk about pure laziness on my part. But I enjoy jotting this all down so I don't want to get out of practice.. so lets keep this train going! And here I go....
Catch up #1
Of course prior to Easter the weeks were pretty busy getting acquainted with my Alison and getting the hang of having two kids in the house. I am so happy to say that the second child is a hundred times easier than all the experiences and trials that come with your first. Holy cow. I jumped back into things pretty quickly and felt myself right away which I was very pleased about. With Rose I didn't feel normal till at least 6 weeks after.... just cause you are getting used to new things, a new baby, a new routine and a whole new life as a mom. God knows what He is doing and so do our bodies the second time around.
Real quick: Alison is a sweet heart. She is 12 weeks on Sunday and a cute little peanut weighing in at 10.5 lbs, so beautiful and just the sweetest thing ever. She immediately looked and felt familiar to me, as if I had already known her for years...partly because she resembles Rose (to me) and partly because she is my daughter and I feel like life was never without her. Strange how that happens. She is a great eater, peaceful, sleeps through the night, smiles and has the most interesting conversations with her mom while she is in her arms. Those moments never get old. Rose is a great big sister, very caring and very helpful... more so than I ever expected her to be. She wakes each morning and one of the first things she asks is "where is Alison? Alison? Where is she??" I know they will become best friends and will be close sisters. I did not have a sister close in age to me and I always wished I did and now I get to watch my girls have that very thing.

Easter dinner was at the Klocek's again this year and the entire family including Grammy made it to the feast. Aunt Rebbecca provided more than a hundred fake eggs with sweet treats inside and if you were lucky you would find the lucky egg that had a $10 bill inside. The eggs were hidden all over the front yard and the kids sprinted across the lawn, around and under bushes, and up trees. It was a sight. It was another beautiful Easter.
See you at Catch up #2 (coming soon...)
