Catch up #2
Each morning this is a common site you will see in the living room while cartoons are on.
Just two sisters hanging out. These photos were taken back in the middle of April.
On April 13th our Alison Mary was baptized by Fr. John Eric at St. Thomas the Apostle.
God parents: my sister Bridget and brother Danny
What an important day that can easily be overlooked as just a rite of passage. A day so important because our child becomes a child of God, a member of the beautiful Church and receives an abundance of graces by the Holy Spirit. A change within her soul took place and I am thankful to have been given this gift by my parents so that I can give this gift to my child. The gift of Baptism. A beautiful sacrament that forever changes our soul.
My sweet sister in law Jackie stood in for my sister who lives in Nashville, TN who was unable to make the baptism.

The baptismal gown is officially a tradition. Rose wore it and Alison has now carried that tradition on and I hope to get "future Wilk baby boys" in the gown someday.

Following the Baptism we had everyone join us back at our house for donuts and chicken salad sandwiches. Family celebrated into the late afternoon and I am so thankful to have many loving family members to be there during these special holy celebrations!
I have to remember to assign a family member to take pictures. My brother in law Pudge was kind enough to see our camera in the pew and grabbed it to snap a few. Unfortunately by that time it had become very crowded with several other families!
