A New Year and New Room

The 3rd bedroom is officially the new Baby's Room.

A crib has taken up residency.

Baby's bedding is out of the closet, washed and set up.

We are in business.

I love my 2nd crib that I snagged off CL. The room is turning into something quite cute and comfy.

I told Rose that her crib is the big girl crib and this is the little baby crib.
It is tempting for her to want to climb in and enjoy "night-night" in this mysterious third bedroom that she is never in. She was slightly confused when she saw the spare crib - come to think of it this is the first sign of change she has experienced since her expectant baby brother/sister was announced back in July.

The Year 2013

It arrived almost two weeks ago!

The year was welcomed with popcorn and TV. Zac was out of town for 3 days at a friends wedding in North Carolina. My Birthday and the New Year was a solo one for me:) I did receive a special delivery from my husband though. xoxo. Here is to my 29th Birthday!

Rose is addicted to apples. She would eat a dozen/day if I allowed her. Also, she is repeating words that come out of my mouth... time to start watching the not so clean words that occasionally come out now and then. She is starting to put words together and as usual just keeps surprising me with her every growing personality.

The big TWO birthday is just under two weeks away. This years theme: simple and celebratory. I might have a few sweet things hidden under my sleeve for her big day but we plan to make it a special day focused on her surrounded by family here at home.

I am going to enjoy something sweet and quiet because frankly mom is getting tired these days. The holidays wore me out and I am staying close to home these last weeks leading up to baby's arrival. Granted there are s-t-i-l-l  8 weeks left (8 weeks TODAY!) but looking at the calendar: Rose's 2nd Birthday, a baby cousin's pending arrival (Baby Klocek #3!!), doctors appointments (that are all scheduled out from now till the end) and finally two business trips Zac has between now and then.... those 8 weeks don't seem like a very long time.

Till next time!
