We pulled it off!
Invites went out to the family a couple weeks ago and this past Saturday evening our house was full of family and a couple close friends.
The weather was permitting... phew. Forecast for the day was chilly and windy which made for perfect brisk, festive fall weather. The attire for the party was comfortable and warm!
We told everyone to grab a sitter and drop on by for a beer and hot cider!
We put Rose down at her usual bedtime: 7pm and welcomed guests at the door and the party was off to a running start!
Our goal was to get the family together as the beginning of the holidays start to arrive... to say hello, have a drink and just have a good time. We have decided to try and make this an annual party for the family. It was too much fun to not have again in the future.
Being pregnant I tried to make things as easy as possible for myself... so we decided on light snacks, wheel barrow full of beer, wine, hot apple cider and pop. Now if only I can figure out a simpler way to clean in preparation for the party....that's the difficult part.
We hope the family had as much fun as Zac and I did.
As usual I was having too much fun to take pictures of everybody once they arrived... grrr one day I will master this.
