Last weekend we (along with my sister in-law Nikki, and sister in-law Rebbecca) walked/ran for Maggie's Place!
A home for homeless expectant mothers or expectant mothers who have no where to go or turn. Maggie's Place provides a bed to sleep on, clothes, diapers, education assistance and so many other wonderful things to help those young mothers who find themselves all alone who need help in the nine months of their pregnancy and after.
Rose and I walked the 3 mile trek along Tempe Town Lake and Zac ran the 5k --- however, he missed the turn for the 5k and ended up running the 9k! Ha-ha we all had a good laugh and took joy in the fact that he still ran the 9k with great timing.
Zac and I will be doing this more in the future for sure. Picking a cause and partaking in something that is emotionally, mentally and physically rewarding!
Thanks to the Gonzaga Alum Phoenix Chapter for picking such a wonderful cause as their annual service project!
