I have been wanting to pull back Rose's hair and put it up in a pony tail, but have you seen pictures of Rose as of late? Regardless of her hair, I went for it. I know she is my daughter because I had less hair when I was her age. I still think it is the most precious thing ever.
Rose, this morning you gave both your dad and mom a kiss, multiple times. You also hug me. Two things that I love getting from you: kisses and hugs. Walking is no big deal to you now, its been two weeks and you are a pro and loving your new found freedom. We talk to each other, you gab and gab, your inflections make me believe that we are having a very serious conversation sometimes. I know God communicates through creation, and when I look at your beautiful face, I see purity, love, humor, joy, and innocence. The more I love you the more I am able to understand and love Our Lord. How could I not love Him, He gave you to us. Thank you, Lord.
Papa LEW and Grandma Wilk surprised us and purchased a baby bicycle seat to put on one of our beach cruisers. We frequent a neighborhood grill and they read our minds when we thought "how fun for us all to ride our cruisers and meet up for lunch or an early dinner". Now we can!
Zac and I thought we could get it all together in time for a sunset ride. Totally! We started the assembly at 5:30pm and unfortunately didn't finish till 8pm, when it was pitch dark and way past Rose's bedtime (if you notice in the pictures, we started during the day light and ended in the dark). I've told you how much patience I have with assembling things...none. I would compare it to what marriage counseling might be like, not that I've ever been but I would consider what we just did a team building experience. Makes me grumpy just thinking about it.
We had a great week. Zac finished his last class last night and is now in his spring break for one week and then we are going on a trip the start of the following week (this means its time to get the suitcases out and get ready!). Needless to say we both have been looking forward to this two week break for a long time.
Also, we both are burying our heads into our March Madness Brackets! Such a fun time of year! I am losing in my particular bracket.... so lets hope things look up and I start winning some picks!
Happy Friday!
